P&J Appaloosa Purchase Guide!

  • We would first like to say thank you for considering adding one of our appaloosas into your heart and home. We take great pride in our appaloosas and we are very excited to be able to offer excellent appaloosas to you. Feel free to contact us for more information on our appaloosas, pedigrees and more photos. We are available by phone, email or mail. If you would like to come and see us and our appaloosas please email or call to make an appointment.
  • We now accept Paypal, money orders, and personal checks as methods of payment on your purchase!

  • Note: Personal checks require 10 days to clear at the bank.

  • Deposits and Sale Contracts

  • Once you decide to purchase one or multiple appaloosas from us we will require you do read through and sign our Sale Contract. Along with the signed sale contract a 35% deposit is also required to hold the horse(s) for you. Once the sale is complete you will be given a reciept of sale for your own records. When you would like to purchase an appaloosa email or call us requesting a sale contract. You will then read over the sale contract and then either sign it and send it to us along with the deposit or if you have any questions or want anything added to the contract we can discuss it. Once your deposit and signed contract are recieved and cleared through our bank we will mark the horse(s) sold. The deposit is not refundable unless the horse were to be injured or die while in the care of P&J Appaloosa Ranch.
  • Note: All horses are still for sale until deposit and signed sale contract are recieved.

  • Equine Transportation

  • We suggest all of our buyers look into the cost of transporting their purchased horse before they commit to a purchase. We have bought most of our horses from many states away, on the west coast and on the east coast so oftentimes we have to hire a hauler to haul them for us. Over the years we have dealt with some great haulers and I would be more than happy to send you links to haulers that we have had good luck with in the past. We do love to meet our buyers in person but we also understand that most often buyers need to hire someone to transport their purchased horse(s). We do work outside the farm which can make scheduling pickups tricky at times. Although if you give us plenty of time we can rearrange our work schedules to be available for haulers coming in to pick up your purchased horse. We have experance with selling to Canada, our vets are qualified to get all the paperwork that the horse(s) will need to go to Canada.

  • Equine Insurance

  • We recommend purchasing equine mortality insurance on the horse(s) that you purchase at least for the transpertation as most hauling companies do not carry mortality insurance on your horse. If you are interested in contacting some equine insurance providers I can send you a couple links of insurance companies that we have used or that we have been in contact with.

  • Overseas Buyers

  • We welcome buyers from overseas to purchase our horses for sale. We think it is great to have our horses promoting the foundation appaloosa breed in other countries as well as the United States!

  • Purchasing Multiple Horses

  • If you are looking for buying more than one horse or even putting a breeding or show herd together we welcome you to inquire about purchasing multiple horses from us. We will try our hardest to give you a discounted price if you purchase more that one of our horses at a time. We have 2 stallions and many mares with a wide range in foundation lines so putting a breeding program together would be easy to do here at P&J Appaloosa Ranch. We also sell foals in utero so that is an option if you are looking for a certain bloodline in your breeding program.
